What is FLUX 1 Kontext Pro?
FLUX 1 Kontext Pro is Black Forest Labs' image editing model. Unlike text-to-image models that generate from scratch, Kontext Pro takes an existing image as input and modifies it according to a text instruction — while keeping the rest of the image unchanged.
The "Kontext" in the name refers to its ability to understand the context of an image — what's there, what the instruction is asking to change, and what should be left untouched. This allows for precise, targeted changes: swap an object, change a color, modify an expression, update text in a label, or alter a background — without regenerating the entire image.
For creative and production workflows, this is transformative. You can iterate on an existing image without losing the elements that are working. You can make client-requested changes non-destructively. You can build image series from a single source image by varying specific elements through instruction rather than regeneration.

How to edit images with FLUX 1 Kontext Pro on project.video
Open the composer
Go to your project.video dashboard. FLUX 1 Kontext Pro is available under image editing models in the model selector.
Select FLUX 1 Kontext Pro
Choose FLUX 1 Kontext Pro for in-context editing of an existing image. The composer will show the image upload field alongside the text instruction field.
Upload your image
Upload the image you want to edit. This is your source — Kontext Pro will use it as context for understanding what to change and what to preserve.
Write your edit instruction
Describe the change you want in plain language. For example: 'Change the jacket color to navy blue' or 'Replace the background with a clean white studio backdrop'. Generate and review.
